Has some glaze loss at his nose, a ‘ring crack’ circling the top of his hat, and a small chip off the hat’s very top point. No–far from perfect but good luck finding another any time soon! And he still presents very well. We strive to provide an accurate description of all items. PLEASE, please, please EMAIL OR CALL with any additional questions you may have. Keep in mind, you are bidding on a vintage item – expect natural aging….look at the large pictures provided. Also, please be aware that close up pictures might emphasize dust and minor imperfections that you won’t see with the naked eye. Most of our items are from 30 to 50 years old and will have some degree of stress cracks, crazing, etc. Expect them. We do not highlight ‘typical wear’ unless we feel it is out of the norm. Item History – General (iNCLUDING SIZE, year of production, color, scarcity) WHAT FOLLOWS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING SPECIFIC in this listing Disney Hagen-Renaker Size Shaw 1950’s Peter Pan Flute Miniature Metlox Listing is for a Disney Hagen-Renaker Size Shaw 1950’s Peter Pan Flute Miniature Metlox. The American Pottery Company was owned by Evan K. Shaw and appears to have started in 1939 or 40. In 1942, they obtained a license from Disney to produce Disney ceramic figures. Fire destroyed the company in 1946. At this point, Shaw purchased Metlox Potteries in Manhattan Beach in 1946 or 47. They continued to produce Disney items until 1956. When Metlox Potteries went out of business in 1989, many unpainted, unglazed Disney bisque figures were discovered in their inventories. Some of these figures never saw full production. We believe all the white, unpainted bisque figures out there in collectors hands came from this discovery. These never-finished bisques are exceptional as they really show off the mold detail well. Get yours today. Payment Policy Payment is due within 2 days of auction close or date of purchase – EXCEPTION: if payment is snail mailed, we request it to be mailed within 2 business days. Ebay defaults to only online payments but we have no problem with personal checks or money orders. Just be sure to tell us you’re sending one and note that checks are held up to 10-15 days to clear. We will ONLY ship to shipping address listed on payment. This is an eBay mandatory requirement. Please be sure to select the appropriate address when making payment.
