ANTIQUE SILVER-TONE METAL DOGS- Maybe ROTTWEILERThis auction is for a larger sized SILVER-TONE Cast Metal dog figurine SET and unsure of the breed but probably a ROTTWEILER. I thought this initially was a GREAT DANE but the tail isn’t cropped. Someone messaged me and suggested GERMAN SHEPARD. But definitely a larger dog breed of some kind.What a wonderful tableau of a mother with her rambunctious and playful puppy.It is a solid piece (not hollow) and must have been on a base of some kind at one time since both dogs are affixed to a square metal box and appears as if it could attach to something. It is in excellent condition considering the age. It is of a base metal (probably cast iron) and is completely intact (see pictures). Please see pictures for better descriptions. The dimensions are:· 3.5” tall (at the top of the mother’s head) · 1.75” deep at each base· 3.5″ wide at each base I have multiple metal dogs in my collection (SEE FINAL PICTURES) and am selling most of these due to retirement and downsizing. The dogs are a variety of breeds, sizes and metals. Most of these dogs are from unknown makers, but the banks and doorstop are HUBLEY. These dogs have been primarily purchased in antique shops in and around the Midwest for the past 50 years. These are some of my best dogs. I DO COMBINE SHIPPING FOR THESE DOGS TO SAVE MONEY. The best way is to put them in the cart and buy all at once. I will refund the money to you after payment—I am not a store so I can’t finagle the ability to do savings. ALL of the auctions listed are at less than market value or purchase price. I AM A NON-SMOKER and have NO PETS. Nearly ALL of my collectibles have been stored in a cabinet enclosed in glass and wood so that dust should not be of concern.
