And this book tells you how to get the best cartons free of charge! Each and every one of these clever illusions is worked without stage traps, backdrops and away from the wings. Work them on any open platform. Adding an illusion or two to your show increases audience interest and makes you seem all the more like a “real” magician, especially when you perform these miracles live, with no camera tricks of any kind. Great for stage shows, talent shows, outdoor shows and festivals, ghost and spook shows, club shows, church auditoriums … you name it! Just look at the nice variety of jaw-dropping effects that you can perform: In Again – Out Again — Carton placed across seats of two chairs, boy from audience put in and vanishes, only to reappear again. Sawing A Lady — Girl put in carton and her head and feet stick out ends, sawed in half so saw drops through at finish to floor and girl steps out uninjured. Real unfaked saw, no fake feet or head. Only one girl is used. Doll House Illusion — Three pieces of cardboard assembled, forming a doll or playhouse, and girl pops out. Use this to produce a ghost or monster for Halloween shows. Dog Vanish — Dog put in carton and vanishes from same completely, while on a thin board across seats of chairs. Victory Girl Production — Two cartons folded flat, without tops or bottoms, shown freely and one nested inside the other. Looks so fair, yet a girl pops out! Victory Substitution — Unprepared carton is examined by audience committee. They seal and rope you in, yet you and your assistant exchange places instantly! Victory Costume Carton — Flat carton shown and formed into box, variety of colorful costumes put in same. Members of audience select a costume, and girl appears from carton wearing the selected costume! Victory Headless — Carton placed over person’s head, then carton opened up front and back and they see right through … the person’s head is GONE! Can be worked with the president of the company that hired you, a beauty pageant queen, etc. for publicity purposes. Sword Box — Assistant put in carton just large enough to hold her and swords or canes pushed through at all angles. Swords removed and she emerges from carton unharmed! Victory Rabbit — Carton without bottom folded flat and shown right through. You can either produce or vanish a live rabbit using this clever illusion method. Levitation of a Princess — Girl placed on a board across two chairs. A carton without top or bottom shown and placed over girl, and she floats up out of carton. Work it surrounded, anyplace. Spirit Cabinet — Board, hammer, bell, tambo, slate, etc., are sealed inside a small carton only 12 inches square, yet they fly around inside carton, nail is hammered into board, writing appears on slate, etc. Perform it with no assistants and in full light!
